March 26, 2009 Hi. Old-Skool is still going strong.
January 27, 2007 Hello all vigilant listeners! Sorry for the lack of timely updates, a busy webmaster is something to be avoided. Old Skool had a very fun and productive December and we're slaed to get back into the game Feb 3 in Goodwater, followed by gigs in Yorkton, Saskatoon and more! Check out the Gigs page for details.
November 3, 2006 More gigs sprang from this weekend! We're booked to play New Years Eve at the CanAm in Oungre and Lumsden insisted we return on Boxing Day for their big bash! The gigs went incredibly well this weekend and we'd like to thank the great bars that hosted us, as well as the kickass patrons who made it all the more fun, we will see you all again before the end of the year! AND WE FINALLY GOT SOME PICS UP! Yessiree! I threw together some pics that were taken at the past few shows. I have more, including stuff from Katepwa and I'll try and add one or two after every show, so keep your eyes peeled for yourself. So check out the gallery today!
October 25, 2006 We've added three new gigs to the gig list and we should have a couple more confirmed in the next week or so, we've got dates but just finishing the paperwork. If you're in Weyburn November 11, please make an effort to come out as the gig is a Benefit for 13 yr. old Brandi Panasiuk who has Ewing's Sarcoma (I'd never heard of it either, click on the name to find out more about this form of cancer) and there will be a bunch of other great bands at the show! We've also joined forces with Saskbands.com and will soon be booking gigs through them, so we're all very excited about that! Finally, to stroke the bands ego a bit, some praise from a fan - " I really enjoyed hearing you and from all we've heard, the crowd did as well. So thank you and your band on our behalf." October 12, 2006 We've had a recent date change for one of our gigs. The gig in Oungre at the Canam has been changed from November 4, 2006 to October 27, 2006. Hope this doesn't cause any inconveniences. We've also got some other gigs on the horizon, so if you're from Carlyle, Weyburn, Yorkton, Kipling or Melville, keep your eyes on the page and we'll have some news really soon!
October 5, 2006 Old Skool has had a bit of a hiatus from performing this month, but they haven't been idle! They've been working hard on some new songs, as well as putting some spit polish on some old ones. The show at Kipling was fun. The band was a little rusty, but the crowd and the band had a good time and were in good spirits. Two more gigs are coming up, one in Lumsden October 28 at the Lumsden Hotel. It's a Halloween gig, so wear you're devil costumes! Then, the following weekend Old Skool will be rocking the roof off the Canam Country Inn in Oungre SK on November 4. Both shows promise to be good, so if you're in town, come on out!
September 2, 2006 Sorry this hasn't been posted earlier, we just recently found out that Old Skool will have the pleasure of helping the community of Kipling welcome Kyle McDonald of One Red Paperclip fame. We will be playing the stage on main street at 5:30 today, Saturday September 2, 2006. For more details, please feel free to visit the webapge of the Kipling Citizen for full schedule and such.
